IISB (ISCEA International Standards Board)
Cleveland, Ohio, USA – On September 1, 2022 -- ISCEA announced that Dr. Shernette R. Kydd has been appointed to a new role on the ISCEA International Standards Board (IISB)
Dr. Shernette R. Kydd has been appointed as the Chair of Lean and Six Sigma Committee of the ISCEA International Standards Board. Dr. Kydd brings to IISB her comprehensive background in Lean and Six Sigma as a quality engineer, who supports continuous improvement initiatives. Her experience includes a vast range of experiences in education, including teaching as an adjunct professor in complex topics.
Dr. Kydd is the Assistant Vice President of System Effectiveness (Operational Excellence/Innovation) at Cook Children's Health Care System. Prior to that Dr. Kydd worked at GE as an Engineer / Continuous Improvement Black Belt for 6+ years.
Dr. Kydd holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The City College of New York and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). She also conducted Post Undergraduate Research at Cornell University and Duke University. Dr. Kydd earned a Six Sigma Master Black Belt from ISCEA, a LSS Black Belt from ASQ and a Back Belt from GE. Dr. Kydd is a member of the Malcolm Baldrige Board of Examiners.
IISB President, Dr. Erick Jones, Sr. said, "Dr. Kydd embodies skills needed in connecting education which industry managers can use to move their quality, lean and Six Sigma programs in a profitable way." Dr Jones further states her efforts raise the bar, ensuring programs are inclusive, understandable, and practical before they are approved. “She will be a great asset to IISB” added Dr. Jones.
